Anita Pankratz White holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music in Piano Performance with added study in Vocal Performance from Roosevelt University, where she studied on a full scholarship and graduated cum laude. She studied with renowned former vocal professors from University of Missouri - Kansas City and Wheaton College where she pursued post-graduate training in piano, composition, vocal pedagogy, and vocal pathology.
Her extensive performance and teaching experience allows her to bring music to those around her. Whether she is performing at your next special event, or helping students find their inner musician through mastering the keys of the piano or singing the songs in their hearts, she makes the world around her more musical.
Anita has toured extensively, performing at national conventions, appearing on syndicated TV, performed four concertos with orchestras, two of which were televised, and had the honor of singing before President Ronald Reagan. As former Miss Illinois (Miss America Pageant), her experience provides expertise in piano, voice, performance, and theatricality.
With over 30 years of experience, Anita offers both piano and voice lessons in classical, pop, improvisation, and studio recording. She’s passionate about helping students overcome challenges and enjoy their musical journey. Many of her students have secured lead roles in productions like Les Misérables, The Sound of Music, Mary Poppins, Newsies, and more. They have also won performance competitions and earned college scholarships.
Anita specializes in training excellent pianists and empowering singers to master their upper range, creating smooth transitions across vocal registers, and building solid vocal technique to allow for freedom across all musical styles.
Anita takes personal interest in every student, seeing each as a unique gift. She loves watching her students bloom, enjoy music, and perform confidently. Whether they are at the piano or behind the microphone, Anita will train them to be their best musical self!
Anita is available for hire to perform at special events such as weddings, memorials, prayer breakfasts, parties, and more. With her extensive experience in both piano and vocal performance, she brings a touch of elegance and professionalism to any occasion, creating memorable and heartfelt moments through music.
